NBSC BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPROVES KEY POLICIES FOR INSTITUTIONAL GROWTH
The Board of Trustees (BOT) of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) approved two major institutional policy frameworks—the Gender and Development (GAD) Agenda 2026–2031 and the Strategic Development Plan 2026–2032—during its 4th Quarter Regular Meeting held on December 9, 2025, at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office. The meeting was conducted under the chairpersonship of CHED Chairperson and NBSC BOT Chair, Commissioner Michelle Aguilar Ong.
The approval of the Strategic Development Plan 2026–2032 marks a significant milestone for the College, as it serves as NBSC’s first comprehensive long-term roadmap. The Plan sets the strategic direction of the institution for the next seven years, focusing on quality instruction, strengthened research and extension services, good governance, and sustainable and resilient institutional development.
Meanwhile, the GAD Agenda 2026–2031 institutionalizes gender mainstreaming across NBSC’s policies, programs, and services. It reinforces the College’s commitment to gender equality, inclusivity, and gender-responsive governance, ensuring that development initiatives are equitable and responsive to the needs of all stakeholders.
During the same meeting, the Board also approved the Annual Investment Plan for Fiscal Year 2027, various financial proposals, the 2026 Research and Extension Projects, the Research Ethics Office (REO) Manual of Operations, and the Ecological Solid Waste Management Plan (ESWMP).
Collectively, these approvals reaffirm the NBSC Board of Trustees’ commitment to strategic planning, inclusive development, accountability, and the sustainable growth of the institution, in line with national higher education policies and development priorities.
